About us

Liam Ellis-Roberts is a one-person practice working in piano tuning and maintenance: tuning by ear against a reference, regulation of the action, voicing of the hammers, small repairs to keys, dampers, strings and pedals, and a written condition note before an instrument is bought. This website is our institutional front: it sets out what we do, how to reach us, and who is behind it, so anyone deciding whether to contact us can check that first.

What the practice does

We handle piano tuning and maintenance: tuning by ear against a reference, regulation of the action, voicing of the hammers, small repairs to keys, dampers, strings and pedals, and a written condition note before an instrument is bought for customers in our area. Enquiries arriving through this site are read by a person, who replies with what is available, what it would involve and what it would cost. No payment is taken on this website.

How it works

1. Write to us with what you are after and how to contact you.
2. A person replies with availability, a timescale and a quote in writing.
3. Nothing becomes binding on this page; that happens directly with us, in writing.

What you will not find here

This site carries no ratings, customer counts or sales figures, because we could not evidence them. The pictures are illustrations of the kind of work we do, not photographs of specific jobs. And we never ask for card or bank details, here or by email.

Where the name comes from

The name Liam Ellis-Roberts is taken from the tuner who does this work on his own, and in whose name liamellisroberts.online is registered. There is no earlier website behind it: every page here was written for this domain.
